Top 10 Movies to Look Forward This 2013
After year in which most of the time was dominated by presidential election and hypes, 2013 is going to be a welcome year for movie buffs. An estimated 200 plus movie releases are planned this year, though in all possibility, this figure will go up unimaginably high. It is not uncommon to be unduly excited about new releases even before they have taken off with the casting. Some movies, though they have already received wide publicity are still on the drawing board. But one thing is very certain that 2013 holds a lot for those love movies and still keep it as their main source for entertainment.
Here are the 10 most anticipated movies that you can look forward to watching this year.
Do not try spending your time looking for the storyline or other details, because there isn’t much available anyway. Hype perhaps is the only reason that it is amongst the most anticipated. But, the cast is really impressive – Jodie Foster, Sharlta Copley, William Fichtner along with Matt Damon. It may also interest you to know that Elysium is nothing more than a sequel to District 9 released earlier. Anyways why would anyone care when it just an anticipation? From the hype it has already created you can expect it to be awesome though, and that is the end to it.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Captain Nemo. This movie is directed by David Fincher, and that perhaps is the reason why you are seeing it in the list. Hope the planned release will not be disappointing, he has never before and that is a point. The storyline is mostly about Nemo and also the focus is on the way he creates an underwater vessel called Nautilus. The movie is actually a remake of Disney if you remember it. You will surely enjoy it when it is screened ultimately.
Guillermo del Toro is directing this movie, and you must have guessed as well even if I had told you. The storyline is set in the future with weird creatures dominating most of the shots. Real fare for those who like fiction more than reality. The movie includes a great cast, and you will really like it.
The Hobbit: There and Back Again
Though planned for release in 2012 it did not see its light. Hopefully it is planned for release in 2013 and there isn’t any reason why is should not. There is little to add about the cast, because by now most already know the impressive cast who are mostly from the Lord of the Rings.
The Gangster Squad
If you had watched Zombieland and still remember it, take it is a follow up you will still want to watch and enjoy. Remember, like Zombieland, this movie too is directed by Ruben Fleischer. The storyline of the movie is based on a article scripted by Libermaan. The cast is really something to talk about with Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Anthony Mackie and Ryan playing their roles well.
How to Train Your Dragon 2
Though some snap shots are available, not everyone is sure if the movie will be called that way when it is finally released in theatres across the country. However, don’t presume it is a sequel from the way it has been named. That means you don’t have to recall anything from any earlier movie. There is every reason to expect a lot from this movie and more of graphics to it.
Oz: The Great and Powerful
This not the only one of this kind; there is still a lot, but you can however expect it to be released first over the others. That someone like Robert Downey Jr. turned down a cast itself seems to have given much publicity. However, his role is well substituted with James Franco playing the wizard and Mila Kunis, the Theodora.
The name says everything about what it has in store, but more important, if it is directed by Steven Spielberg as he has promised, then expect it to be an epic. Drew Goddard has written the script and is based on Daniel H. Wilson’s novel Andromeda Strain which has already received praise in the media. The movie is set in the future with lots of robots.
There are at least two reasons why it is amongst the top anticipated movie for 2013 – the first is it is original in any sense and second it relies heavily on science fiction. Though based on science fiction which is not new, you can expect the movie to show everything in a new and exciting way. The storyline is a little intriguing, though you will like it.
Iron Man 3
If you are expecting the top most anticipated of all anticipations for 2013, then this is it. It is a sequel to two other releases, so you will have to rake your brains a little trying to remember them. Robert Downey Jr. has been retained at the Iron Man, though you will not see Jon Favreau will not be directing the movie this time.
